UPDATE 1-21-10 Exercise-Thyroid Healing-Inversions-Green Smoothies (sorry about the funky vid quality… not sure what happened.) Awesome blood work results since cleansing and incorporating more raw fruits and veg, green juices and smoothies into my diet. I am currently eating about 60-70% raw. Here is my daily to do list from my MD as I try to slowly phase off of my meds for my hypothyroid condition. 1) Supplements: Selenium, Zinc, Niacin, A, C, B complex, Kelp 2) Daily Exercise 15-20 minutes minimum (just bought a rebounder for easy indoor winter exercise) 3) Daily Inversions (headstands, inversion tables etc) 4) 8 hours min. sleep each night 5) Variety of dark leafy greens anyway every day

I have hypothyroid too, currently I am on 0.075mg of synthroid, so I’ll be really interested in the results that you find. :)


well, this is an experiment and the blood test results demonstrated that something is working that I am doing. Thyroid issues can be mysterious and complicated.. I may not know for years as to whether or not I can get off of my meds entirely. At least the dosage is reduced, its a step. Thanks for the support! : )

Every body is different. You might even consider a yoga posture I learned to stimulate the thyroid. It is simply pressing your chin to your chest, and releasing. The release encourages a rush of blood to the thyroid region. I have even felt that singing is good for my thyroid. It literally vibrates that whole area. I am sending love to you and your thyroid. : )


I know! I am so lucky to have found this MD. I am with the Kaiser Ins. program and so you can easily change primary care MD – she was referred to my by someone I know who works at a local natural pharmacy. I dumped my other MD because they were not open to even discussing an experiment of tapering off the meds (in conjunction with diet changes etc). I am thrilled. I mean, I always make my own health choices, its just great to have a MD that you can use as a prof. consultant. LOVE IT!
