My Thyroid Cancer Diary- 1st scan
I had my radioactive pill of 101 mcg on Wed and this is my 1st body scan. They let me video the scan. Hope this helps the unknown jitters, or at least it will give you an idea of what this is like.

i didn’t throw away my clothes. they say you can wash them but i didn’t want to deal with contaminating the washing machine. So i did what the hospital does with it radioactive stuff, and that is to put it away for 2 months. we had a building that was far away from the house so i just bagged it up and put it out there. watch my video Before my radioactive iodine treatment and i talk about all those things that i learned.
Getting ready to have my RAI in 2 days and then the scan 11 days from today. Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Do I throw away my clothes when this is all done?
