iv had papilary thuroid cancer for 4 years it spreaded to my lungs removed all the cancer and my thyroid in my neck did radioactive iodine but still have cancer in my lungs will this kill me doctor.


any sign if it is metastastic??

Often protocol is to follow up with radioiodine therapy to kill off any remaining thyroid (only for a TT) Following was a smaller dose of radioiodine a year later for a whole body scan to check to see if it was gone. It was at the time I’m now hypothyroid for another follow up scan (3 years later) to check again. The prognosis is good.

I had papillary carcinoma in my right lobe and had a total thyroidectomy. Also metastasis to seven of the surrounding lymph nodes (fairly common) They removed these as well.


If you find a tumor in one lobe would you remove both lobes? And then afte removal if you decide that, what next?

hashimoto thyroiditis does not spread to other organs


I had my right thyroid removed cause of this. What do You recommend I do so I dont get this all over my body? Will it go to my liver? Thanks
