Cancerland: A Thyroid Cancer Narrative
Filming version two. This is a multimedia exhibit in Second Life about my recent experience with Thyroid cancer. I actually built it before the entire process was finished, but it’s designed to give people a sense of what it’s like to get a cancer diagnosis, and go through thyroid cancer treatment. It’s a visual, audio, and text-based experience; in this video, you will mostly get the audio and visual part of it. Thank you for sharing this. I think I just understood why SL works so fine. One needs to be a skilled writer to describe something in words and make others understand. But in SL it is possible to show them.
