Can having an abortion cause a thyroid condition?
I know that the thyroid gland has a lot to do with hormones in the body. Can having an abortion trigger a under or over active thyroid? Thanks!

In rare cases, yes. This article mentions two that it happened to: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/889196?dopt=Abstract You’ll note that they called transient hypothyroidism, which means it can go away. If you have it, being on iodine or over-the-counter thyroid treatment may be a good idea.
